A court hearing on March 12 resulted in the Forensic Psychiatric Regional Clinic in Vadstena releasing pianist Felix Prince from the compulsory care that has kept him confined for almost 5 years.
NewsVoice has had the opportunity for several years to gain insight into the situation of Felix Prince and the process that now appears to be leading to his discharge. It is the result of a legal process pursued by Felix’s mother Christina Prince together with a skilled lawyer (and pharmacist) and with the help of an expert opinion from Björn Hammarskjöld .

The court hearing became turbulent when the chief physician Susanne Noske at the Vadstena Clinic turned 180 degrees during the hearing from the intention to try to keep Felix at the clinic to herself suggesting that Felix be discharged to outpatient care.
Hammarskjöld:
“The defense has found that many decisions in both the healthcare and administrative courts have been processed and made without legal support, which the defense pointed out. If there is no legal support, the measure may not be taken or will cease with immediate effect according to Swedish law and EU law.”
The turn of events led to Noske submitting a proposal over the next 24 hours on how care can continue, while the other party will submit a set of requirements on how Felix, as a free man, should be able to decide what type of rehabilitation he wants.
The rehabilitation is mainly about detoxification from the strong psychiatric medication that Felix has been forced to take for several years, including strong injections of psychotropic drugs.
Michael Zazzio , a medical researcher and registered nurse with 47 years of healthcare experience, writes:
“I am very, very surprised that in this case they have succeeded in the feat of subduing Swedish psychiatry, which is a despotic force that rules over people’s lives within compulsory psychiatric care. We have an insane system in Sweden, and there are many sadists and evil people who work in our psychiatric clinics.”
Zazzio was not present during the court hearing, but he has interviewed Felix and provided advice to Christina Prince in the process.
Felix is kept at the Vadstena clinic for just under two more weeks. The mother expresses concern about what the clinic might “come up with” during that period as a result of the loss of prestige that the clinic’s managers have caused the business.
The Vadstena clinic is estimated to have earned at least 8,000 SEK per day for “taking care” of Felix.
